ICE DRAGON FTU

Especially for Suz who requested an Anne Stokes tutorial ;)

You will need:

Font of choice – I used Anastasia

Unfortunately their blog is no longer active, but I have included this FTU kit in my supplies

Tube of choice. I used Ice Dragon by ANNESTOKES.

I have uploaded this tube for you and you can get it in my supplies

Mask of choice – I used one called 0Mask046. I’m not sure who this belongs to, so if it’s yours, please let me know and I will either remove it, or give you credit for it. I have included it in my supplies.

ICE_DRAGON_SUPPLIES

Open new raster layer 700 x 700 and fill with white.

Layer – new raster layer. Selections – select all. Paste Paper 4 into selection. Deselect.

Apply mask. Merge group.

Duplicate mask. Merge both layers together.

Duplicate again. Mirror. Merge both mask layers together.

 Frame 2 – resize 110%.

Paste above mask layer. Sharpen. Slide up.

Tube – Paste below frame and slide into position so top of icicle is just hidden.

Duplicate tube and in layers palette, move one copy above the frame.

Paper 2 – Adjust - Hue & Saturation - Colorize H=0  S=0.

Click inside frame with magic wand. Selections – modify – expand 4.

Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 2 into selection. DO NOT DESELECT.

Selections – invert. Click on bottom tube and hit delete.

Deselect.

Dropshadow frame.

Dropshadow top tube and erase any excess showing over the frame at the top.

Sparkles – Resize 70%. Paste above the paper 2 layer.

Slide right. Sharpen. Duplicate – mirror.

Merge both layers together. Duplicate again for depth.

DO NOT DROPSHADOW.

Grass – Paste above mask layer. Slide to bottom right corner.

Duplicate – mirror. Erase the bottom where it shows below frame.

Dropshadow both.

Tree - Adjust - Hue & Saturation - Colorize H=0  S=0.

Paste above grass layer and slide to the top centre.

Sharpen. Duplicate. Slide left and down slightly.

Duplicate – mirror.

Dropshadow all three.

Ivy – Paste above top frame layer. Slide left.

Sharpen. Duplicate – mirror. Slide this copy down.

Dropshadow both.

Lantern – Mirror. Resize 60%. Paste above ivy layers and slide to top left corner.
Sharpen. Dropshadow.

Cluster 2 – Resize 80% then 90%. Paste above lantern layer and slide to bottom centre.

Sharpen. Dropshadow.

Cluster 1 – Resize 60% twice. Paste above cluster 2 layer. Slide to bottom right corner.

Sharpen. Dropshadow.

(Your top tube should be the next layer.)

Crop & resize if desired.

Add copyrights and name.
