SOME DAYS FTU

You will need:

Font of choice – I used Brady Bunch remastered

Scrapkit by ChiChi Designz called Nature Calls. This is now FTU and can be downloaded from her blog. Be sure to check out the other lovely kits here too

Tube of choice. I used a FTU tube called Tristano by Laura Nicolodi. You can download this tube

Mask of choice – I used 0Mask011
I’m not sure where I got this mask, so I have supplied it. Please let me know if this is yours, and I will either remove, or supply credits.


Open a new canvas 700 x 700 and fill white.

Layers – new raster layer – selections – select all
Paste Paper 15 into selection. Deselect.
Apply 0Mask011.
In layers palette, merge group.
Drop opacity to 55

Frame 1 – Paste above mask layer.
Using selection tool, draw round the edge of the frame. Layers – new raster later. Paste Paper 9 into selection. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 14 into selection
Deselect.
In layers palette, move frame to sit above the 2 paper layers.
Paper 9 should be on the bottom with Paper 14 above it. Drop opacity of Paper 14 to 70.

Give frame inner bevel of choice. Dropshadow.

Mesh – Paste above mask layer and slide to the right and up above the frame.
Duplicate – flip. Slide this copy to the left.
Dropshadow both.

Sunray – Resize 85%. Paste above Paper 14. Duplicate. Merge both copies together.

Branches – Resize 60%. Paste above Frame layer and slide to the right and up.
Sharpen.
Duplicate. Resize this copy another 70%. Slide left.
Dropshadow both.

Grass – Paste above Branches layers. Slide down and right.
Duplicate twice. Slide one copy up a bit.
Slide the other copy down more to the bottom.
Dropshadow all three copies
When you are happy with the placement of your grass, we’re going to fill in the gaps.
Set foreground color to #475830 and background to #a0b66b. Make a gradient 0 degrees with 2 repeats.

Using selection tool, draw roughly around the grass layers. Don’t worry too much about the sides, as they will be covered.
Layers – new raster layer. Fill with gradient. Deselect.
To this gradient layer, adjust – blur – Gaussian 10.
Adjust – add noise – Gaussian 20, monochrome box checked.
Make sure this layer is below all three grass layers.

Tree – Paste between the 2nd & 3rd grass layer.
Slide left. Erase the trunk late, if it pokes down under the tube.
Dropshadow.

Wheel – Resize 60&. Paste above tree layer and slide left a bit.
Erase the bottom so it looks as if it is buried in the grass.
Dropshadow.

Tube – Paste above wheel layer and slide left.
Dropshadow

Splat – Open this element. Layers – new raster layer. Fill white and leave white layer on top
Click on splat. Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Selections – invert. Click on white layer and hit delete.
Drop opacity of white to 80.  In layers palette, right click. Merge – merge visible.
Resize 10%. Sharpen.
Paste onto your tag above the tube layer and position on his head. Duplicate and slide down.
Dropshadow both, and merge both down onto the tube.

Barrel – Resize 35%. Paste above merged tube / splat layer and slide down and left. Position to hide the spikes of grass.
Sharpen. Dropshadow

The top copy of grass should be the next layer

Bird – Resize 40% then 85%. Paste above top grass layer and slide to the top left.
Sharpen. Dropshadow.

Bird 2 – Resize 25%. Paste above Bird layer and slide left to sit on the barrel.
Sharpen. Dropshadow.

Leafs – Resize 50%. Paste above Bird 2 layer and slide down and right.
Sharpen. Dropshadow.

Birdhouse 1 – Resize 50%. Paste above Leafs layer and slide right and down.
Dropshadow.

Fruits – Resize 50% then 70%. Paste above Birdhouse 1 layer and slide to bottom right.
Sharpen. Dropshadow.

Butterfly – Resize 10%.
Paste above Fruits layer. Free rotate Right 45. Sharpen. Duplicate – mirror. Position as desired.
Dropshadow both

Butterfly 1 – Resize 15%. Paste above Butterfly layer. Free rotate Left 20
Sharpen. Dropshadow.

Crop & resize if desired.

Add copyrights and name.
