BLING IN THE NEW YEAR 2014 FTU

You will need:

Font of choice – I used Bellbottom Laser. This is FTU, and can be found

Scrapkit by Angelaz Creationz called Bling in theNew Year. This is FTU found

This kit is full sized, so the elements and papers are quite large.

Tube of choice. I used Cheers by Keith Garvey. These tubes can be purchased through his store

Mask of choice – I used 0Mask046 LT.

I’m not sure where I got this mask, so I have supplied it. Please let me know if this is yours, and I will either remove, or supply credits.

If you wish to animate, then you will need Alienskin Xenofex 2 – constellation.

Alternatively you could just add bright noise to make the words sparkle.

New raster layer 700 x 700

Floodfill white

Layers – new raster layer. Fill with black

Apply 0Mask046 and in layers palette merge group.

Duplicate mask, mirror and merge down.

Apply Xero Frtillary with settings 5, 43, 12, 88

Element 14 (red firework) – Paste above mask layer. Slide to top right corner.

Sharpen. Duplicate – mirror - flip.

Dropshadow both.

Frame 7 – Resize 30%. Paste above element 14 layer.

Sharpen.

Element 25 (cityscape) – Resize 50% then 70%. Paste above firework layer, under frame.

Click inside frame with magic wand. Selections – modify – expand 2. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 11 into selection. DO NOT DESELECT.

Selections – invert. Click on Cityscape and hit delete.

Deselect.

Check in layers palette to make sure the Paper is below the cityscape and frame is on top. Move if necessary.

Click on cityscape layer. In layers palette, right click – properties – luminance legacy.
Dropshadow cityscape.

Dropshadow frame.

Element 15 (sparkles) – Resize 50% Paste above cityscape layer, under frame.

Slide up. Duplicate and slide down

Element 5 (Bells) – Resize 30% then 50% Paste above frame layer

Slide up and right.

Sharpen. Dropshadow

Element 21 (stars) – Resize 25%. Paste above bells layer

Slide right.

Sharpen. Duplicate. Mirror. Slide down a bit.

Duplicate this copy - Mirror

Dropshadow all three.

Element 30 (gold holly) – Mirror. Resize 30% then 50% Paste above bottom stars layer

Slide up and left.

Sharpen. Dropshadow

Element 8 (champagne bottle) – Resize 15% then 50% Paste above holly layer

Slide to bottom left.

Sharpen. Dropshadow

Element 2 (shoe cluster) – Resize 30%. Paste above champagne bottle layer

Slide to bottom left corner.

Sharpen. Dropshadow

(You should have 2 stars layers next)

Element 31 (mask) – Mirror. Resize 25%. Paste above top stars layer

Slide to bottom right corner..

Sharpen. Dropshadow

Element 6 (globe) – Resize 25% then 80% Paste above mask layer

Slide to bottom right.

Sharpen. Dropshadow

Tube – Paste above globe layer. Position as desired.

Dropshadow.

Element 25 (wordart) – 25%. Paste above tube layer

Slide to bottom centre.

Sharpen. Dropshadow

Add any other embellishments of choice.

Resize 85%, all layers box checked.

Add copyrights and name.

If you don’t want to animate, then stop here and save.

TO ANIMATE

Click on wordart layer and duplicate twice so you have three copies.

Name sparkle1, sparkle 2 and sparkle 3.

On sparkle1, effects – plugins – Alienskin xenofex 2 – constellation wit the following settings:

Select Bling Bling from settings tab.

Change star size to 15, and leave the rest on default settings.

On sparkle 2, apply the same constellation effect, but click random seed once.

On sparkle 3, apply the same constellation effect, but click random seed twice

Close off sparkle 2 and sparkle 3 for now.

Open animation shop.

In PSP go to Edit – copy special – copy merged.

Go to animation shop. Go to Edit – paste – as new animation.

In PSP, close sparkle 1 and open sparkle 2.

 Go to Edit – copy special – copy merged

Go to animation shop. Go to Edit – paste – after current frame.

In PSP, close sparkle 2 and open sparkle 3.

 Go to Edit – copy special – copy merged

Go to animation shop. Go to Edit – paste – after current frame.

Still in animation shop, Edit – select all

Animation – animation properties.

Check box opaque and change colour to white. Click OK.

Edit – select all

Animation – frame properties. Change display time to 10

Save as a gif file.
