WINTERWOOD PTU

Written by Gwenda on December 11th 2012
Any similarity to any other tutorial is purely coincidental

You will need:

Font of choice – I used Manga Temple, found

Template 65 by TracyF Designz

Scrapkit is another beautiful Pay to Use kit called Icy Blue by Nicky of Inzpired Creationz.
You can purchase this kit

You can purchase these beautiful tubes from CDO

Mask of choice – I used 0Mask011 LT1-1.
I’m not sure where I got this mask, so I have supplied it. Please let me know if this is yours, and I will either remove, or supply credits.

OK . . . Snow Time
When I first made this tag, I animated it, but to be honest I prefer the still version.
However I’m writing this tutorial so you have the choice.

Click on the SQUARES layer.
Go to Snow 484 x 484 and copy frame 1.
Back to your tag, and paste as a new layer. Rename SNOW1
We will tidy up the overlap in a minute.

If you don’t want to animate, do not paste any more snow layers, but go directly to ***

Back to Snow 484 x 484 and copy frame 2
Back to your tag and paste as a new layer above SNOW1.
Rename this one SNOW2.

Keep doing this with all the snow frames from Snow 484 x 484, pasting each one above the other and renaming as you go.
You should end up with 10 snow layers and a really messy looking tag lol.
Don’t Panic! Tidy-up time.

*** Click on SQUARES. Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections - defloat. Selections – invert. Click on each of the snow layer(s) in order, and hit delete.
Deselect.

Now in layers palette, go to each of the snow layers, and click the little eye to the left to close it. Do this to all snow layers except SNOW1.

If you feel really adventurous, you can repeat this process with RECT 1, but it will look just fine without it.
(If you DO choose to add more snow here, don’t forget to open and close BOTH snow layers numbered the same.)

Open up your tube by clicking the little eye to the left of it.

Now to add some elements.

Owl – Resize 60% twice. Sharpen. Position above your tube layer, just below RECT 2. Dropshadow.

Ribbon 3 – Mirror. Resize 60% and position to the right
Sharpen. Dropshadow.

Snowy Branches – Position above ribbon 3 layer and slide to bottom centre of tag
Sharpen. Dropshadow.

Leaves 3 – Position on left above oval frame. Duplicate - mirror
Dropshadow both.

Glitter tree –Resize 80% & position on right above the Leaves 3 layer..
Sharpen. Duplicate – mirror.
Dropshadow both.

Pinecones – Resize 30%
Sharpen. Dropshadow.

Flower 3– Resize 20% then 40%. Sharpen.
Duplicate 3 or 4 times and move to where you want them..
Dropshadow each.

Bird – Resize 20%. Sharpen. Dropshadow.
