HIGH ON SUMMERTIME FTU

You will need:

Font of choice – I used 1 snappy DNA, found

Scrapkit by Schnegge called Seashell. The colours in this kit are glorious, and it is FTU, found

Tube of choice. I used Seana, by Misticheskaya. These tubes can be purchased through PicsforDesigns

Mask of choice. I used  WSL84 by Wee Scots Lass.

High on Summertime template by Dee

Open template. Copy, and close original.

                                                                               

PREPARATION

Delete the following layers:

Layer 1 (info), Layer 4 (D/S Summertime), Layer 7 (D/S High On), Layers 10 and 11 (yellow circles)

In layers palette, move top squares bg above top squares.

Click on top squares. Selections - select all, Selections - float. Selections - defloat. Click on top squares bg and hit delete.

Deselect. You should be left with a frame.

In layers palette, move bottom squares bg above bottom squares and repeat the above steps to make the frame.

In layers palette, move white oval above orange oval and repeat the above steps to make the frame.

Merge rt small dotted circle down to lft small dotted circle. Rename small dotted circles.

OK, that's all the preparation done, let's get creative!

Click on bg. Delete the gray colour and fill white (easier to see what we are doing).

Layers - add new raster layer. Selections – select all – paste Paper 05 into selection. Deselect.

Flip Paper 05. Sharpen.

Layers – load/save mask WSL84

Merge group.

Stretch mask to edges.

Right White Square - Selections - select all, Selections - float. Selections - defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 06 into selection.

Deselect.

Effects – edge effects – enhance.

Delete template layer.

Duplicate paper 06 square. Mirror.

In layers palette, move the mirrored copy up, so it sits above the left white square.

Delete template layer of left white square.

Give inner bevel and dropshadow to both squares.

Top squares - Selections - select all, Selections - float. Selections - defloat. Selections – modify – expand 2. Layers – new raster layer.Paste Paper 04 into selection.

Deselect. Sharpen.

Delete template layer.

Top squares bg – Selections - select all, Selections - float. Selections - defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 05 into selection.

Deselect.

Adjust – add noise Gaussian 60, monochrome checked.

Sharpen. Dropshadow

Delete template layer.

Bottom squares - Selections - select all, Selections - float. Selections - defloat. Selections – modify – expand 2. Layers – new raster layer.Paste Paper 04 into selection.

Deselect. Sharpen.

Delete template layer.

Bottom squares bg – Selections - select all, Selections - float. Selections - defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 05 into selection.

Deselect.

Adjust – add noise Gaussian 60, monochrome checked.

Sharpen. Dropshadow

Delete template layer.

Set foreground colour to #625b87. Background colour to #c5cfdd.

Make background gradient 0 degrees, with 3 repeats.

Top yellow strip - Selections - select all, Selections - float. Selections - defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Fill with gradient.

Delete template layer.

Effects – texture effects – weave with settings 1   2  2   both colours white.

Duplicate – mirror – flip.

In layers palette, move the flipped copy above the bottom yellow strip, and delete that template layer also.

Dropshadow both.

Top Orange strip - Selections - select all, Selections - float. Selections - defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 03 into selection.

Deselect.

Delete template layer.

Duplicate – mirror – flip.

In layers palette, move the flipped copy above the bottom orange strip, and delete that template layer also.

Give each an inner bevel of choice, and dropshadow both.

Orange Oval - Selections - select all, Selections - float. Selections - defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 01 into selection.

Deselect.

Delete template layer.

White Oval (frame) - Selections - select all, Selections - float. Selections - defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 05 into selection. Deselect.

Delete template layer.

Adjust – add noise Gaussian 60, monochrome checked.

Sharpen. Dropshadow.

Flip Paper 06

Centre White Circle - Selections - select all, Selections - float. Selections - defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Paste flipped Paper 06 into selection.

Deselect.

Delete template layer.

Effects – edge effects – enhance more.

Dropshadow.

Centre dotted circle – Selections - select all, Selections - float. Selections - defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Fill with #bbffff.

Deselect.

Delete template layer

Give inner bevel of choice and dropshadow.

Set foreground colour to #625b87. Background colour to #bbffff.

Make background gradient 45 degrees, with 1 repeats.

Centre Orange Circle – Selections - select all, Selections - float. Selections - defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Fill with gradient.

Delete template layer.

Effects – texture effects – blinds with setting on 4   40   colour #625b87.

Give inner bevel of choice. Dropshadow.

Small dotted circles – Selections - select all, Selections - float. Selections - defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Fill with #bbffff.

Deselect.

Delete template layer

Give inner bevel of choice and dropshadow.

White High On – Dropshadow.

Orange High On – Selections - select all, Selections - float. Selections - defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Fill with #625b87.

Deselect.

Delete template layer.

Adjust – add noise Gaussian 60, monochrome checked.

Sharpen.

Orange Summertime – Selections - select all, Selections - float. Selections - defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Fill with #625b87.

Deselect.

Delete template layer.

Dropshadow.

White Summertime – Adjust – add noise Gaussian 60, monochrome checked.

Sharpen.

Merge all four word layers together.

Resize 70%, all layers unchecked.

Sharpen.

In layers palette, move this wordart layer to the top.

Tube – If using the same one as me, I resized 90% and mirrored it.

Dropshadow.

Element 14 (net) –Paste to the right, above the top squares layer.

Sharpen. Dropshadow.

Element 16 (pearly swirl) –Paste below the white centre circle layer. Free rotate right 15.

Sharpen and move to the left.

Duplicate – mirror. Dropshadow both.

Element 06 (fern) – Resize 85%. Paste above the centre orange circle layer and move into position.

Duplicate. On top copy, mirror and resize 80%. Move down slightly.

Sharpen &  Dropshadow both

Element 10 (sand) – Position above the small dotted circles layer, and move to the very bottom of your tag.

Duplicate, and resize this copy 90%. Move it to the right.

Sharpen both.

Element 09 (stones) – Position under your tube as shown.

Dropshadow.

Element 31 (coconuts) – Resize 50%.

Sharpen. Dropshadow.

Element 30 (starfish) – Resize 40% then 85%.

Position over stones.

Sharpen. Dropshadow.

Move your wordart into position.

Add any embellishments of choice.

Close off white background and mask layers, and merge the rest visible.

Centralize the merged layer ( I usually cut and paste – Ctrl x then Ctrl v)

Re-open mask layer and merge visible.

Crop & resize if desired.

Add copyrights and name.
