You will need:
Font of choice – I used Abaddon, found
Tube of choice. I used Scorpio by The Hunter. These tubes can be purchased through PTE
Scrapkit is called Red By Mago74. It’s a beautiful FTU kit.
DBV Template. I used Scorpio which can be found under templates - Zodiac
Mura Meister Copies plugin
Open Template. Copy, and close original.
Image – canvas size 600 x 600
Open white background and fill bottom & top gaps with white.
Delete top layer (copyright) & Copy (2) of Raster 2 (right scorpion)
In your palette layer, move Copy (3) of Raster 2 (left scorpion) up to the top.
In your palette layer, move Raster 2 (grey glitter circle) to sit above Copy of Raster 2 (white circle).
Click on white circle. Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat.
Click on grey glitter circle and hit delete.
Deselect. This leaves you with a frame.
You will be using this process again later in this tutorial.
Paper 2 – Resize 15%.
Click on white circle layer. Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Selections – modify – expand by 2. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 2 into selection.
Deselect. Delete template layer.
Effects – edge effects – enhance more.
Paper 11 – Resize 15%.
Click on grey glitter frame layer. Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 11 into selection.
Deselect. Delete template layer.
Adjust - add noise – Gaussian 60 monochrome checked.
Dropshadow
Raster 3 (Scorpio symbols) - Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Fill grey symbols with white, leaving black ones as they are. Only do the ones you can see – 4 at the top and 4 at the bottom.
Deselect.
On template layer, erase the 8 grey symbols. Merge white layer down to black.
Dropshadow.
In layers palette, move left grey glitter circle above left black circle.
Click on black circle. Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat.
Click on grey glitter circle and hit delete.
Deselect.
Paper 11, still resized 15% - mirror.
Click on left black circle. Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 11 into selection.
Deselect. Delete template layer.
Duplicate – mirror. In layers palette, move this copy up to sit above right black circle.
Delete right black circle template layer.
Raster 8 (left glitter frame) – Sharpen. Dropshadow.
Repeat with right glitter frame.
Paper 11, still resized 15%. Mirror again.
In layers palette, move Raster 7 (centre glitter circle) up to sit above Copy of raster 7 (centre black circle)
Click on black circle. Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat.
Click on grey glitter circle and hit delete.
Deselect.
Click on black circle again. Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 11 into selection.
Deselect. Delete template layer.
Raster 7 (glitter frame) – Sharpen. Dropshadow.
Add new raster layer above glitter frame. Fill black.
Resize 90% all layers unchecked.
Click on Promoted selection 1 (words). Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Selections – invert.
Click on black square and hit delete.
Deselect. Delete template layer.
Dropshadow
Promoted Selection (black semicircle) – in layers palette, move down to sit under glitter frame.
Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Fill with #562801.
Deselect. Delete template layer.
Effects – texture effects – weave with these settings:
1 8 2 both colours white.
Drop opacity to 70. Dropshadow.
Copy (3) of Raster 2 (left Scorpion). – Resize 30% all layers unchecked and position in centre of canvas (easiest way to do this is to cut, and then paste as new layer.)
Sharpen.
Murameister copies – Tiling, on default settings.
Resize this layer 97% all layers unchecked.
In layers palette, move down to sit above right circle layer, under the glitter frame.
Click on right circle. Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Selections – invert.
Click on tiled scorpion layer and hit delete.
Deselect.
Duplicate – mirror. In layers palette, move this second circle of scorpions down to sit above left circle, under the frame.
I didn’t dropshadow the tiled scorpions.
Element 33 – Resize 40% then 70%. Flip
Paste left as your top layer. Sharpen. Mirror.
Dropshadow both
Tube – Dropshadow
Element 61 – Resize 20% then 95%. Paste above white background layer.
Sharpen. Duplicate – mirror.
Duplicate left one again. Resize 75% and move left.
Duplicate – mirror.
I didn’t dropshadow this element.
Using Abaddon font, type The Scorpion.
Add any other embellishments if you want to.
Crop & resize if desired.
Add copyrights and name.
