AQUARIUS FTU

Written by Gwenda on November 24th 2011
Any similarity to any other tutorial is purely coincidental

You will need:

Font of choice – I used Featured Item for the main words, found

And Moonbeam for the name. FTU found

Scrapkit by A Taggers Scrap called Goth This is FTU found

Tube of choice. I used Aquarius by The Hunter. These tubes can be purchased through PTE

Mask of choice – I used KylieMask175. Not sure where I got this, so if it’s yours, please let me know and I will either give credit, or remove it

DBV Template. I used Aquarius which can be found under templates - Zodiac

Open AquariusTemplate. Copy, and close original.
Image – canvas size 700 x 700
Click on white layer at the bottom and floodfill white ( make sure you click on the little eye to open the layer)

Delete Raster 4 ( copyright ), Raster 7 ( circle frame), Raster 10 (upright rectangle frames),  Copy of Raster 11 (Small upright rectangles with lines), Copy of raster 2 ( Aquarius with white glow).

Dropshadow as you go.
Close off all template layers once you have dealt with them ( I preferred not to delete them until I was finished, just in case I needed to refer back to the numbers)

TO FILL TEMPLATE LAYERS WITH PAPER:
Copy paper you want to use. ( Ctrl C ).
Click on template layer. Selections – select all - Selections – float – defloat – Layers – New raster layer. Edit – paste into selection.
Defloat

Add new raster layer on top of white background. Selections – select all – paste paper 8 into selection. Deselect. Flip

Layers – load/save mask Kylie Mask 175
Merge group.
Resize Mask 95% ( resize all layers unchecked).

Rename all layers, starting with the white background as L1, mask as L2, and working up from there to the Aquarius which will be L12.
You will find that a few extra layers appear in the layer palette as we go on, but as long as you have numbered as above, you will be able to see which layer you are working on at the time.

I used a partial tube, and I wanted the bottom of it hidden, which is why I have pasted mine here, just under the rectangle frame.
If you choose to use the full tube, then I suggest you paste it as the topmost layer, once you have finished processing the rest of the template. Have a play around and see what you like best. Always remember that tutorials are just a suggestion and you don't have to follow them exactly unless you want to.

L11 (rectangle frame) – Paste paper 5 into selection.
