SHADOW OF THE SOUL PTU

I have done two versions of this tag.

The first is using a tube by The Hunter, called Soul Reaver. You can purchase these tubes from scrapsncompany

I am using a PTU kit from Nika at Devilish Dezines. This one is called Shadow of the Soul.

Font of Choice. I used Betty Noir

Mask of choice - I used WSL294 from Wee Scotts Lass

NOTE:

The instructions below are for the Hunter version of this tag. The VeryMany version has only a couple of changes, and those are listed at the end of this tutorial

New canvas 800 x 800

Fill white.

Layers - new raster layer. Selections - select all. Paste Paper 5 into selection.

Deselect

Apply Mask WSL274

In layers palette, merge group.

Stretch to all edges.

Duplicate twice (to make 3 copies) and merge all three mask copies together.

Element 13 (gravel) - Flip. Resize 80%

Paste above mask layer and slide to bottom left corner.
Duplicate - merge down.

Frame 1 - Resize 85%.

Paste above element 13 layer.

Free rotate right 15 and slide to top right corner.
Sharpen.

Duplicate. On bottom copy - mirror. Resize 80%

 Slide to bottom left corner.
Rename these LEFT FRAME and RIGHT FRAME

Element 15 (castle) - Mirror. Resize 75%.

Paste under Left Frame and slide to the left. Don't worry about the excess - we will sort that out soon.
Sharpen.
Dropshadow.

Click inside left frame with magic wand. Selections - expand 4.

Layers - new raster layer.

Paste Paper 5 into selection. DO NOT DESELECT

Selections - invert. Click on Castle and hit delete.

Deselect.

In layers palette, move paper to sit below castle. Left frame should be on top of castle

Sharpen paper.

Dropshadow castle.

Dropshadow frame.

Click inside right frame with magic wand. Selections - expand 4.

Layers - new raster layer.

Paste Paper 5 into selection.

Deselect.

Sharpen paper.

Dropshadow frame.

Element 3 (grass) - Resize 95%

Paste above left frame layer and slide to top left corner.
Dropshadow.

Tube - Resize 95%

Paste above right frame layer and slide to the top.
Dropshadow.

Element 17 (brown berries) - Flip. Resize 60%

Paste above tube layer.

Free rotate right 15 and slide to the right.

Sharpen.
Dropshadow.

Element 28 - (Sword) - Resize 85%

Paste above element 17 layer

Free rotate left 20

Slide to top right.

Sharpen

Dropshadow.

Element 38 (Lamp) - Resize 50%

Paste above element 28 layer

Slide to the right

Sharpen

Element 27 (Fire) - Mirror

Paste above element 38 layer

Slide to the bottom

Element 20 (black doodle) - Flip. Resize 50%

Paste above element 27 layer.

Free rotate left 15

Slide to the bottom left corner.

Element 33 (clock) - Resize 30%

Paste above element 20 layer.

Free rotate right 15

Slide to the left.

Sharpen

Element 18 (Cross) - Mirror. Resize 60%

Paste above element 33 layer

Slide to the right and down

Sharpen

Element 19 (Flower trio) - Resize 60%

Paste above element 18 layer

Slide to the bottom right corner

Sharpen. Rename this layer FLOWER TRIO 1

Duplicate. Resize this copy 80%

Free rotate right 90.

Slide to the left and down.

. Rename this layer FLOWER TRIO 2

Sharpen. Duplicate - mirror. Rename this layer FLOWER TRIO 3

Dropshadow all three copies.

Element 29 (leaf branch)

Paste above FLOWER TRIO 1 layer

Slide to the bottom.

Sharpen

Dropshadow

Element 41 (Leaves) - Resize 50%

Paste between FLOWER TRIO 2 AND FLOWER TRIO 3 LAYERS.

Slide to the bottom.

Sharpen. Duplicate

Resize the bottom copy 80%. Free rotate right 15.

Slide to the bottom left

In layers palette, move this copy to sit directly above element 29 layer.

Dropshadow both.

Element 35 (mushrooms) - Resize 90% twice

Paste above FLOWER TRIO 3 layer

Slide to the bottom right corner.

Sharpen

Dropshadow

To do the VeryMany version:

Use close-up tube instead of Element 15 Castle.

Place tube below left frame.

Duplicate tube - mirror.

In layers palette, move the right tube to sit below the right frame

On left copy of tube, Layers - properties - luminance legacy.

Drop opacity to 53.

Element 28 - Sword

Slide to center instead of top right

Add any other embellishments of choice

Add copyright

Resize if desired
