GIRLY VALENTINE FTU

You will need:

Font of choice – I used Coventry Garden, found

Scrapkit is a lovely FTU kit called Girly Red by Clarez Creationz. You can find it

Tube of choice. I used Julie by Keith Garvey. You can purchase this tube

Mask of choice. I used WSL84 by Wee Scots Lass

Open a new canvas 700 x 700

Fill white.

Add new raster layer above the white background.

Selections - select all. Paste Paper 17 into selection..

Deselect.

Apply mask WSL84.

In layers palette merge group.

Stretch mask to all sides. Mirror.

Frame 04 – Paste above mask layer. Slide up towards the top.

Paste close up of your tube under the frame and slide it into the desired position.

Click inside frame 04 with magic wand. Selections – modify – expand 3. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 14 into selection. DO NOT DESELCT YET.

Selections – invert. Click on tube and hit delete.

Deselect.

Duplicate tube.

On bottom copy – layers – properties – luminance legacy. Drop opacity to 60.

On top copy of tube, drop opacity to 55.

Dropshadow top tube.

Dropshadow frame.

Make sure you have layers arranged as follows from the bottom:

Mask, paper 14 circle, bottom tube, top tube, frame 04.

GR 03 (heart scatter) – Paste above mask layer. Free rotate left 45 and slide right.

Dropshadow.

GR 39 (flower) – Paste above GR03 layer. Slide down and right.

Dropshadow.

GR 04 (flowers) – Resize 50% Paste above GR39 layer and slide left.

Sharpen. Duplicate.

In layers palette, move one copy up so it sits above frame.

Free rotate the other copy Right 45 and slide down to bottom right.

Duplicate – flip.

Dropshadow all three.

Frame 01 (two hearts) – Paste above top copy of GR 04 layer. Slide to bottom left corner.

Click inside both hearts with magic wand. Selections – modify – expand 1. Layers – new raster layer. Fill with white.

Deselect.

In layers palette, move white layer below frame, and apply Effects – texture effects – weave, with settings 1  6  10, both colors #941414.

Dropshadow frame

GR 47 (heart string)  – Paste above frame 01 layer and slide to top of tag.

Duplicate. Resize 80%. Free rotate Right 45.

Slide down to bottom left corner

Dropshadow both.

GR 10 (ribbon) – Mirror. Paste above GR 47 layer and slide to the right.

Sharpen. Dropshadow.

GR 17 (sparkles) – Resize 70% then 80%. Paste above ribbon layer. Slide down and to the right. Duplicate. Merge both these layers together. Sharpen

Duplicate – Mirror.

Dropshadow both

Main tube – Paste as top layer and slide into desired position. I have mine “sitting” on the hearts.

Crop & resize if desired.

Add copyrights and name.
