Scrapkit is another beautiful kit called Birdsong by Nika of Devilish Designz.

This is my favourite kit (so far lol).

Nika’s kits are being sold at  SATC.

Tube of choice. I used the glorious bird that comes with the kit.

Mask of choice – I used OMask 046

I’m not sure where I got this mask, so if it is yours, please let me know and I will either remove it, or give credit.

Copy, and close original.

Delete Credit, Raster 12 and Raster 13

Click on white layer at the bottom.

Layers – new raster layer.

Selections – select all. Paste Paper 2 into selection.

Deselect.

Apply mask 0Mask 46

In layers palette, merge group.

Starting from the bottom.

Raster 2 – Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 5 into selection.

Deselect.

Delete template layer.

Effects – edge effects – enhance.

Give inner bevel of choice.

Dropshadow.

Raster 3 – Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 4 into selection.

Deselect.

Delete template layer.

Effects – edge effects – enhance.

Give inner bevel of choice.

Dropshadow.

Element 22 (gold tree) – Resize 75%. Paste above Raster 3 layer.

Erase the trunk sticking out the bottom.

Sharpen. Duplicate – flip.

Dropshadow both.

Raster 4 (top dotted circle) – Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 1 into selection.

Deselect.

Delete template layer.

Sharpen

Give inner bevel of choice.

Dropshadow.

Raster 5 (bottom dotted circle) – Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 1 into selection.

Deselect.

Delete template layer.

Sharpen.

Give inner bevel of choice.

Dropshadow.

Set foreground color to #908430 and background to Black

Make background gradient 0 degrees with 1 repeat.

Raster 6 – Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Fill with gradient

Deselect.

Delete template layer.

Give inner bevel of choice.

Dropshadow.

Raster 7 – Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 6 into selection.

Deselect.

Delete template layer.

Sharpen.

Give inner bevel of choice.

Dropshadow.

Element 11 (white peacock) – Resize 60% twice. Paste above Raster 7 layer.

Free rotate left 90. Slide to the left.

Sharpen. Duplicate – Mirror.

Dropshadow both.

Element 5 (gold scatter) – Resize 50%. Paste above Element 11 layer.

Slide to the right.

Sharpen. Duplicate – Mirror.

On the copy, erase part of the centre so it isn’t too crowded.

Dropshadow both.

Raster 8 – Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Mirror Paper 1 and paste into selection.

Deselect.

Delete template layer.

Effects – edge effects – enhance.

Duplicate – mirror.

In layers palette move this copy to sit above Raster 10

Delete Raster 10 template layer.

Give inner bevel of choice to both.

Dropshadow both.

Raster 9 – Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 3 into selection.

Deselect.

Delete template layer.

Sharpen.

Give inner bevel of choice.

Dropshadow.

Element 26 (wire netting) – Resize 40%.

Paste above Raster 9 layer and slide to sit inside the rectangle.

Layers – properties – soft light.

Duplicate – mirror. In layers palette, move to sit above Raster 11 layer.

Dropshadow both.

Raster 10 – Should be the mirror copy of Raster 8

Raster 11 – Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 3 into selection.

Deselect.

Delete template layer.

Sharpen.

Give inner bevel of choice.

Dropshadow.

Raster 14 (bottom left heart) – Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 1 into selection.

Deselect.

Delete template layer.

Sharpen.

Give inner bevel of choice.

Dropshadow.

Repeat this step for Raster 16 (top right heart).

Mirror Paper 1

Raster 15 (bottom right heart) – Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Mirrored Paper 1 into selection.

Deselect.

Delete template layer.

Sharpen.

Give inner bevel of choice.

Dropshadow.

Repeat this step for Raster 17 (top left heart).

Element 7 (bird) – Resize 80%.

Sharpen twice.

Paste above Raster 17 layer.

Erase part of the branch on the right, and slide in to position. I lined mine up with the edge of Raster 6 rectangle.

Dropshadow.

Duplicate bird, and erase the branch on the left. Mirror.

In layers palette, move this copy to sit above Raster 7 (under the white peacock layers).

Layers – properties – overlay.

Element 40 (butterfly) – Resize 30%.

Free rotate left 30. Sharpen.

Paste above top Bird layer and move into position.

Duplicate – mirror and slide down.

Dropshadow both.

`-Add any other embellishments of choice.

Crop & resize if desired.

Add copyrights and name.
