LOTUS BLOSSOM PTU

You will need:

Font of choice – I used Chinese Takeaway, FTU font found

Tube of choice. In one version I used a tube by Dakara. This tube is Free to use, and I have included it in my supplies.

The other is called MayLing by Mike James. I purchased this tube through MPT. I’m not sure where you can buy them now, but this is the link to his site

Open new raster layer 700 x 700 and floodfill white

Element 66 (Frame)  – Resize 65% and paste in centre of tag.

Click inside frame with magic wand. Selections – modify – expand 4.

Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 12 into selection.
Deselect.
Sharpen Paper.
Dropshadow frame.

Element  59 (fan) – Paste above frame layer and slide down and left.

Dropshadow.

Element  102 (bush)– Image – greyscale.  DO THIS BEFORE YOU PASTE THE ELEMENT ONTO YOUR TAG! If you do it after, everything will turn grey.

Resize 75%. Paste as new layer above fan layer. Slide to the left

Sharpen.

Element  4 (black feather) -  Paste below the fan layer and slide to the top left of the frame.

Duplicate – Free rotate right 30. Sharpen.

Duplicate – mirror and slide back to the left. ( you can slide elements around later to position them correctly)
Dropshadow all three.

Element  64 (cherry blossom branch)– Mirror. Free rotate right 90.

Paste above bush layer, and slide to the right.

Duplicate – mirror. Resize this copy 50% and slide to the bottom.

Duplicate this again. Mirror. Slide it back to the left and up.

Sharpen both smaller copies

Dropshadow all three.

Element  31 (wheat stalk)– Resize 50%. Paste above fan layer and slide to the left.

Sharpen. Duplicate – mirror. Resize his one 75% and slide to the left

Dropshadow both.

Element  28 (grasses) – Resize 50% then 80%.

Paste just below the larger cherry blossom layer and slide right.

Sharpen. Duplicate, and slide left a bit. Resize this copy 80%.

Dropshadow both.

Tube - Paste above large cherry blossom layer.

Sharpen.
Dropshadow.

Element 55 (dragon) – Paste above tube layer

Dropshadow

Element 92 (white flowers) – Paste above dragon layer. Slide left and down.

Sharpen. Duplicate – mirror. Slide this back to the left. Resize it 80%.

Duplicate smaller copy. Slide to the right.

In layers palette move this copy to sit just under the tube.

Dropshadow all three copies.

Element 23 (single white flower) – Resize 60%.

Paste above the top white flowers layer and slide to the bottom left.

Sharpen. Duplicate. Resize this one 80% and move to the right a little.

Duplicate smaller flower. Sharpen. Mirror, and slide to the left.

Duplicate this twice more and arrange as you like.

Dropshadow all five copies.

Element 49 (star scatter) – Paste above top white flower layer and slide to top  left.

Sharpen. Duplicate and slide to bottom left.

Dropshadow both

Element 18 (bird)  – Resize 50% then 80%. Paste as top layer.

Sharpen. Dropshadow.

Add any other embellishments of choice.

Crop & resize if desired.

Add copyrights and name.
