MCKENNA IN SHADES OF GREY

We have also been given the chance to work with a new artist!  Welcome Shannon McMann to the PSP world.

You will need:

Font of choice – I used Showcard Gothic, found

Mask of Choice. I used 0Mask046_LT

Scrapkit is by Inzpired Creationz. It’s called B & W Bling, has some gorgeous elements in it, and can be purchased from SATC

Tube of choice. I used McKenna, by Shannon McMann aka Nasionainne. You can purchase these tubes from SATC. Look for the name Nasionainne

Open new canvas in Photoshop 700 x 700, and fill white.

Layers – new raster layer. Selections – select all and paste Paper 6 into selection.

Deselect.

Apply 0Mask 046_LT and merge group.

Duplicate – mirror and merge both mask layers together.

Frame 3 – Flip. Resize 85% and position near the top of your canvas.

Sharpen.

Click inside heart frame with magic wand. Selections – modify expand 15. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 5 into selection.

Deselect. Sharpen paper, and make sure it is sitting below the frame.

Dropshadow frame 3.

Tube – I erased the purple bits. Position and Dropshadow.

Glitter 2 – Flip. Position over the mask layer and slide to the top. Dropshadow.

Flower 1 – Paste above the glitter 2 layer, and move right.
Duplicate – mirror.

Dropshadow both.

Feather 1 – Paste below the tube layer. Free rotate right 15, and slide right. Sharpen. Rename this RIGHT FEATHER

Duplicate – mirror. Resize 80%. Free rotate left 15. Sharpen and slide down a bit.

In layers palette, move this layer above the tube and rename it LEFT FEATHER.

Dropshadow both feather layers.

Branch 1 – Mirror. Resize 85% and position on the right, above the Right feather layer. Free rotate left 15. Sharpen. Rename this RIGHT BRANCH.

Duplicate – mirror. Resize 80% and slide down a bit. Rename this LEFT BRANCH.

In layers palette, move left branch layer to sit above the Left feather layer.

Dropshadow both branch layers

Leaf 1 – Flip. Resize 60% and position below the Left Feather layer. Slide down. Rename LEFT LEAF. Sharpen.

Duplicate – mirror. Resize this 80% and slide upwards. Rename this RIGHT LEAF TOP. Duplicate right leaf top, and flip. Slide down. Rename RIGHT LEAF BOTTOM

In layers palette, move both right leaf layers below the Right feather layer.

Dropshadow all 3 leaf layers.

Hairpin 1– Resize 60% then 70%. Erase the prongs, leaving just the glitter flower. Paste as top layer. Sharpen and slide to the left. Rename LEFT PIN

Duplicate – mirror and move upwards. Rename RIGHT PIN TOP.

Duplicate right pin top and slide it down to the bottom centre. Rename BOTTOM PIN.

In layers palette, move right pin top layer to sit above Right Branch.

Dropshadow all 3 pin layers.

Doves – Resize 60% then 85%. Sharpen. Dropshadow.

Add any other embellishments of choice.

Close white background and merge visible

Crop & resize if desired.

Add copyrights and name.
