BACKYARD BBQ - FTU

You will need:

Font of choice – I used Alba Matter, FTU font which can be found

Two tubes of choice. I used Dean Yeagle’s “Beach” and “Red Dress” which I purchased through CILM.  You can now find Dean’s awesome tubes at CDO

Mask of choice – I used WSL84 which can be found

Open template in Photoshop. Copy, and close original.

Image – canvas size 700 x 700

Delete copyright.

In layers palette, move Circle so it sits just above Circle2.

Click on Circle. Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat.

Click on Circle2 and hit delete.
Deselect.

Rename Circle frame.

Repeat the above with Small Circle above Small Circle 2.

Rename Small Circle Frame.

Add new raster layer above white background. Selections – select all.

Paste Paper 1 into selection.

Deselect.

Adjust Hue & Saturation 135   175

Apply mask WSL84.

Merge group.

Stretch to edges.

Dotted lines -

In layers palette, move dotted lines down to sit above mask layer.

Add new raster layer directly above dotted lines, and fill with #239fba.

Image – resize 98%, all layers Unchecked.

 Click on dotted lines. Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Selections – invert. Click on blue layer and hit delete.

Deselect

Merge blue dots down to template layer.

Give inner bevel of choice. Dropshadow.

Set foreground color to #e73022 and background to #fcf2aa

Make background gradient angle 45 repeats 3

Strip – Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Fill with gradient.

Deselect.

Delete template layer.

Give inner bevel of choice. Dropshadow

Strip 2 – Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Fill with #e73022

Deselect.

Delete template layer.

Effects – texture effects – weave with settings 1   4   1  colour #fcf2aa

Give inner bevel of choice. Dropshadow

Strip 3 – Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Fill with #fcf2aa

Deselect.

Delete template layer.

Effects – texture effects – weave with settings 1   4   1  colour #e73022

Give inner bevel of choice. Dropshadow

Rectangle - Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 4 into selection.

Deselect.

Delete template layer.

Dropshadow

Circle 2 - Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 2 into selection.

Deselect.

Delete template layer.

Circle Frame – Adjust – add noise, random 60, monochrome checked.

Dropshadow

Set foreground color to #abce33 and background to #fcf2aa

Make background gradient angle 45 repeats 1

Strips – Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Fill with gradient.

Deselect.

Delete template layer.

Adjust – add noise, random 60, monochrome checked.

Dropshadow

Strip – Same as Strips, but do not add noise.

Dropshadow

Small Circle 2 – Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 7 into selection.

Deselect.

Delete template layer.

Small Circle Frame - Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Fill white.

Deselect. Delete template layer.

Adjust – add noise, random 60, monochrome checked.

Dropshadow

Close up tube – Paste above small circle frame and move into position.

Click on small circle 2. Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Selections – invert. Click on close up tube and erase bottom only.

Deselect.

Dropshadow tube.

Add main tube and move so she appears to be sitting on strips.

Dropshadow.

Flower doodle – Resize 20%. Sharpen. Position on corner of bigger strip.

Duplicate – mirror - flip and move to other corner.

Dropshadow both.

Flower doodle vine – Resize 50%. Paste above Circle frame layer. Adjust hue & saturation 135   175.

Duplicate – mirror & move upwards on tag. In layers palette, move this layer to sit above strip layer.

Give inner bevel of choice & dropshadow to both.

Sunglasses – Resize 20%. Sharpen. Free rotate left 80 and sharpen again. Place above main tube so it looks like she is holding them. Dropshadow.

Life saver – Resize 30% then 90%. Sharpen. Position above the top flower doodle vine. Duplicate and in layers palette, move one copy to sit below the vine. On top copy, erase part of the top so it looks as if it hanging from the vine.

Dropshadow top copy only.

Bucket – Resize 50%.

Dropshadow.

Beach Ball – Resize 50% then 80%
Dropshadow.

Umbrella – Resize 50%. Free rotate right 20 and paste under the small circle layer.
Sharpen. Dropshadow.

Colorful Butterfly – Resize 30%. Sharpen. Duplicate – mirror and place as desired.
Dropshadow both.

Add any other embellishments of choice.

Crop & resize if desired.

Add copyrights and name.
