LIBRA FTU

You will need:

Font of choice – I used Monika found

Tube of choice. I used Libra by The Hunter. These tubes can be purchased through PTE

Scrapkit is called Pride by Fantasy Moments. There are some amazing kits on this site, well worth a browse through. You can find the one I used

Template. I couldn’t find one I liked for this tut, so I made my own. You can find it

Golden Libra symbol (nlibrac)

Open Template. Copy, and close original.
Delete copyright, and Libra symbol.

Outer Oval - Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 4 into selection.
Deselect. Delete template layer.
Sharpen. Adjust Brightness & Contrast. B = minus 60  C = 0

Outer Ring – Adjust Hue & saturation – Colorize 75   136
Adjust add noise Gaussian 20, monochrome box checked.
Dropshadow

Set foreground colour to #438d2b and Background to # 5e60ca
Make background gradient 318 degrees with 1 repeat.

Right Outer stripe - Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Fill with gradient.
Deselect. Delete template layer.
Effects – texture effects – texture. (I used canvas).
Adjust add noise Gaussian 20, monochrome box checked.
Give inner bevel of choice
Dropshadow.

Repeat this step for the other 3 stripes.
I tried merging them and doing it all as one, but the colour spread was not as effective.

Paper 13 – Resize 80% and paste above the bottom rectangle.

Bottom rectangle - Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Selections – invert.
Click on paper 13 and hit delete.
Deselect. Delete template layer.
Duplicate the paper rectangle -  mirror – flip.
In layers palette, move to sit above the top rectangle.
Delete top rectangle template layer.
Inner bevel and dropshadow both rectangle layers.

Oval Back - Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Fill with white. DO NOT DESELECT
Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 4 into selection and deselect.
Delete template layer.
Reduce opacity of the paper to 65, and merge this down to the white layer.

Tube – I used the half tube. Resize 78%.
Paste above oval back.
Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Selections – invert.
Click on tube and hit delete.
Deselect.
Dropshadow tube, and reduce opacity to 75

Inner Frame – Adjust Hue & saturation – Colorize 75   136
Adjust add noise Gaussian 20, monochrome box checked.
Dropshadow

Main Tube – Resize 90%. Dropshadow.

Element 7 – Erase top part. Resize 50% and position under tube on the right.
Duplicate – mirror. Dropshadow both

Nlibrac (in supplies) – Resize 55%. Inner bevel. Dropshadow.

Close White background (click little eye in layers palette) and merge visible.
Resize this 95% all layers unchecked.
Duplicate.
On bottom layer adjust – blur-gaussian 3
Effects – texture effects – mosaic glass with these settings:
Columns 50, rows 50, symmetric box checked, glass curvature 50, edge curvature 0, grout width 2, grout diffusion 50.

On top layer add dropshadow, and merge visible.

Type “The Scales”

Add any other embellishments if you want to.

Crop & resize if desired.

Add copyrights and name.
