Any similarity to any other tutorial is purely coincidental.
You will need:
Font of choice – I used Dark Crystal Script, found
Tube of choice. I used Leo by The Hunter. These tubes can be purchased through PTE
Scrapkit is called Jungle Fever by Across the Pond Designs. It’s a FTU kit and has some amazing elements!! Find it
Mask of choice –I used WSL4 by Wee Scots Lass.
DBV Template. I used Leo which can be found under templates - Zodiac
Open Leo Template. Copy, and close original.
Resize 110% all layers checked.
Image – canvas size 700 x 700
Click on white layer at the bottom and floodfill white ( make sure you click on the little eye to open the layer)
Delete top layer (copyright). And Raster 2 (Lion)
Paper 29 – resize 50%
Add new raster layer on top of white background. Selections – select all. Paste Paper 29 into selection. Deselect
Layers – load/save mask WSL 4
Merge group. Stretch to edges.
Duplicate mask and merge both together.
Set foreground colour to #1e2216 and Background to # 3b4419
Make background gradient 315 degrees with 5 repeats.
Raster 9 (top and bottom bars) – Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Fill with gradient.
Deselect
Delete template layer.
Adjust – add noise – Gaussian 60, with monochrome checked.
Dropshadow.
Paper 16 - resize 15%
Raster 8 (dark grey rectangle) - Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 16 into selection.
Deselect.
Delete template layer. Adjust – add noise – Gaussian 60, with monochrome checked.
Dropshadow.
Rename GLITTER RECTANGLE
Same gradient as before, but change angle to 180 and repeats to 0.
Copy of Raster 8 (light grey rectangle) - Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Fill with gradient.
Deselect. Delete template layer. DO NOT DROPSHADOW YET
Rename GREEN RECTANGLE
Group – Raster 9 (words) – Drop opacity to 57
Paper 13 – resize 15%
Merge together Raster 4, Copy of Raster 4 and Copy (2) of Raster 4
Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 13 into selection.
Deselect. Delete template layer.
Sharpen twice.
rename JUNGLE BACKGROUND
rename JUNGLE BACKGROUND
Merge together the three frames – Rasters 5, 7, and 6
Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 16 (still resized at 15%) into selection.
Deselect.
Delete template layer. Adjust – add noise – Gaussian 60, with monochrome checked.
Dropshadow.
Paper 6 – resize 15%
Raster 3 (Leo Symbol) - Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Layers – new raster layer. Paste Paper 6 into selection.
Deselect.
Delete template layer.
Give inner bevel. Dropshadow.
Move this down towards the bottom of your tag – you can rearrange later if necessary.
Tube – paste this to the right, so the edge is halfway over the frame.
Dropshadow tube.
Click on Green rectangle. Selections – select all. Selections – float. Selections – defloat. Selections – invert.
Click on tube and erase the side part so it is flush with the green rectangle.
Deselect.
Dropshadow green rectangle.
El 59 (Stick bundle) – Resize 20% then 90%
Paste into tag under the Leo symbol layer.
Sharpen. Dropshadow.
El 149 (bird) – Resize 30% then 85%.
Sharpen. Dropshadow
El 134 (fern) – Paste into tag above the stick bundle layer.
Sharpen. Dropshadow
El 164 (tall fern) – Resize 30%. Paste into tag below El 134 layer.
Duplicate – mirror. Resize 80% and move to the left.
Duplicate the smaller one again. Mirror. Resize 80%. Move down a bit.
Erase bottom stalks where they stick out at the bottom.
Sharpen. Dropshadow
El 99 (doodle) – Resize 40%. Flip.
Paste into tag above the mask layer, on the bottom right. Duplicate – mirror..
Sharpen. Dropshadow
Set foreground colour to #e3dcd3.
Paper 6 – Resize 10% and set as background pattern.
Using Dark Crystal font, type The Lion.
Add any other embellishments if you want to.
Crop & resize if desired.
Add copyrights and name.
