SENSUOUS FTU

Written by Gwenda on November 5th 2011
Any similarity to any other tutorial is purely coincidental

You will need:

Font of choice – I used Coventry Garden, FTU font found

Scrapkit called Heartfelt Rose.
This a gorgeous FTU kit by Wicked Princess Scraps

Tube of choice. I used Sensuous by Keith Garvey. This tube can be found at PTE
 HERE

Mask of choice – I used Lacy Circle & Mask 17 by Sophisticated Simone.
Simone’s masks can be found

I’m not sure where I got the lacy circle, so if it’s yours, please let me know and I’ll credit it to you, or remove it. Lacy Circle mask can be found

Murameister Plugin, found

Open new raster layer 700 x 700 and floodfill white

Layer – new raster layer – Fill #A51011
Apply mask Lacy Circle.
Merge group.
Stretch mask to fill canvas.

Layer – new raster layer – Fill Black
Apply mask Sophisticated Simone 17
Merge group.
Leave mask the size it is, or change slightly so that the black circles are just showing ( see mine ). You may have to change it a bit once you have the frame in place.

Beaded Flower – Resize 20%.
Apply Mura Meister copies – encircle.
Change top three settings to 24   75   75  and leave the rest at default.
Sharpen. Dopshadow

Beaded Heart – Using selection tool, carefully draw a line around one of the black beads.
In your layers palette, right click and then select “Promote selection to layer”
Deselect.
Copy the single bead and paste in centre of canvas.
Apply Mura Meister Copies with the same setting as above.
Move this bead layer above the red flower frame.
This should end up with a black bead in the centre of each red flower.
Dropshadow bead circle, then merge it down to the red flower frame.

Set foreground colour to #A51011 and background to #F0E3A9
Make background gradient 45 degrees with 3 repeats.
Now close off the foreground colour so you are left just with the background gradient fill.

Using preset shapes, draw a circle in the centre of your canvas.
Go to objects – align – centre in canvas.
Alter size of your circle to suit, aligning again after each change. The circle should roughly cover half of the black bead, but it doesn’t have to be exact, so don’t stress too much about this bit lol.
Move this gradient circle under the frame, above the top mask layer.
Adjust – blur – radial 15. ( this gets rid of the sharp outline ).

Paste chosen tube above frame and move to where you want it. Duplicate tube and move one copy above the gradient layer.
Delete excess on both, and dropshadow top tube only.

Glitter flourish – Resize 70% and paste on top of frame to the right.
Sharpen. Dropshadow

Trellis – Place to the right.
Dropshadow

Rosecandle – Mirror. Resize 70%
Sharpen & dropshadow

Glass – Resize 80% then 70%. Sharpen.
Duplicate glass, and move top copy slightly right, and down a bit.
Dropshadow both.

Corsage – Resize 70% then 80%. Free rotate left 90
Sharpen & dropshadow

Ribbon – Resize 70%. Flip. Position on the right.
Move layer so it sits between the 2 glasses.
Delete bits of the ribbon so it looks like it’s weaving in and out of things.
Sharpen & dropshadow.

Quick check – You should have layers in this order in your layers palette, starting at the bottom:
White background
Red lacy mask
Black Simone mask
Blurred Gradient circle
Red flower frame with black bead centre.
Glitter flourish
Trellis
Rosecandle
Glass
Corsage
Ribbon
Glass

Add any other embellishments of choice.

Crop & resize if desired.

Add copyrights and name.

Would love to hear feedback on the tutorial, and to see your results.
Thanks for giving it a go
